Module 4: Convert & Conquer
Create a Tiny Taste
Now it’s time for us to dive into your strategy for converting readers into subscribers. This part of your brand strategy is most important of all for the growth of your business.
You may have heard of a “lead magnet” before – or at the very least, you’ve heard you need to give something away to get your readers to subscribe. In today’s lesson, we’ll we’ll bust some big myths about lead magnets, then you’ll learn what makes a powerful lead magnet, plus you’ll assess how effective your offer is. Or if you don’t have one yet, you’ll get the exact steps you need to follow in order to create your first lead magnet.
Note: Because the program leaders can’t subscribe to all email lists for all students (can you imagine their poor inboxes?), please post any email copy or files related to your question directly in your learning log. For example, if you have a question that pertains to your existing lead magnet, please attach the actual file to your learning log so program leaders won’t have to subscribe in order to see it.

Beware: When looking at lead magnets from Blog Smarter grads, keep in mind that you don’t know how fully a blogger might have implemented what they learned in this program – so always go back to the guidelines in this lesson to be sure you don’t get stuck at the tail end of a game of “telephone” where something important gets lost in translation.
