About Me
My most important title is Mom. This is the most important thing I’ve ever done. It is my greatest joy and my most revered responsibility.
In addition to being a mom, I am a recovering Type A over-achiever. I admit, I like to be in control. I like things to make sense. I want life to be fair. And for a good portion of my forty-something years, I thought these concepts were quite reasonable and even attainable.
After my first son died, I had to face a new reality. I learned I am not in control of anything except how I choose to handle the crap life throws my way.
Having children, and losing a child, has changed every aspect of my character and made me re-think everything I thought I knew. I have experienced the best gift and the most difficult loss imaginable.
Learning how to live after loss brought about a complete transformation in me. It led me to leave an 18 year career in Finance/Accounting to become a Certified Life Coach. My passion and purpose is supporting women facing major life transitions and helping them turn their trials into triumph.
The challenges I experienced on my journey also led me to found a non-profit organization, The Center for Help & Hope. This organization makes it possible for women from low to moderate income homes to have access to coaching services.
