Gretty Emmerich

Hi, Gals! 

My name is Gretty, yes, a nickname for Gretchen.  I'm a vertically-challenged-get-my-blond-hair-from-a-box-very-relational-61-year-old. 

I have two adult sons, Patrick, and Sean (married to Mira), who live in the Philadelphia area.  In May my uber awesome husband John, and I, celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary.  I'll also admit my 5-year-old Cockapoo is addicted to TV.        

Parenthetically, I'm divorced.  That 27-year marriage dissolved when my husband walked out on me for a woman who was pregnant with his child.  

I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and have always been a "city girl."  The LAST thing I would have chosen to do would be to live in a 450 square foot motorhome, let alone, write a blog about such a life.  But here I am...  

Our life as Nomads is NOTHING AT ALL what I dreamed it would be.

It. Is. Better.

Not perfect, but indubitably adventurous and exciting.

In 4 years of living on the road, I have met hundreds of fascinating people while hiking, biking, exploring, or dumping my black tank.  

One thing missing?  My close girlfriend daily chit-chat time.  Slightly selfishly, I decided to create my blog as a kind of online coffee shop- hoping to connect with girlfriends on a deeper level while traveling on the road Fulltime.
